inspiring creative adventure
Here at Purple Patch Arts we tend to refer to ourselves as 'Purps'. Although this sounds a little bit rude we are all quite fond of the nickname and are delighted to introduce you to our ever growing team of wonderful people.

Director Purps
Vicky is in charge of finding new areas of business for the company, to make sure we don’t get bored!
Over the last 20 years (yes she really is that old!) Vicky has worked in theatre, media and education, writing for specific groups and adapting classic texts like The Canterbury Tales, Under Milk Wood and King Lear to make them more accessible. Vicky also writes and delivers training packages.
Vicky likes making cakes and swimming, but not at the same time! (That would mean soggy cake which would be disgusting!)
Gilly is extremely clever, and recently gained funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council to help do her Masters in Learning Disability and Performance ... which she completed with 'distinction'.
Gilly is in charge of making sure that all areas of the company run smoothly and that everyone knows what they should be doing. (It makes her sound a bit bossy, but she isn’t really – well not very often!)
Gilly likes long walks in the countryside and cheese (she probably does one so she can have the other!) Gilly also recently got engaged and now spends her spare time looking at pretty dresses and flowers!
Previous Purps
Kay was one of the three founders of Purple Patch Arts, alongside Gilly and Vicky.
In 2010, Kay went to Canada and South Africa to do some research into Dementia and liked it so much that she’s going to move abroad to continue her work. While this is very sad for us, it’s exciting to think that Kay will be following her own purple patch.
Kay is also a visual artist, and likes yoga (she can get into some amazing positions!!)
